My 12 yr old daughter cracked 4 expensive bats over the course of 1 yr and 3 months.  The bats were lasting a little less than 4 months on average.

Many of my daughter’s teammates were experiencing similar problems with cracked bats.  The cracks were happening in many makes, models, and sizes of bats.  The Bat Manufacturers were gracious in doing their best to get replacement bats out as quickly as possible, but the entire process would take several weeks.  

The bats were most frequently breaking in the Fall, Winter, and early Spring months.  We had almost no cracks or broken bats happening in Summer months.  

In their Manufacturers’ Warranties, the major Bat Manufacturers warn against using bats in cold temperatures below 60°F (15°C).  Many bat experts believe bats are at risk as soon as temperatures start approaching 65°F. 

Simple Concept!!!  Using bats in cold temperatures increases the likelihood of cracks, dents, and damage to bats.

Even in California, where the weather is pretty mild year-round, there are times we play in temperatures that are below 65°F.  There is no getting around the environment, but there should be an easy way to get the bat to intended temperatures and, in doing so, offer some protection against damage.

I searched the internet for a Bat Warmer that would be easy to transport, simple to use (child or adult), and wouldn’t require any inconvenient equipment/appliances (i.e. microwave).  Every existing product had some major drawback in heat source, limited battery options, extreme heat, oversized, and/or difficult to use. 

I set out to develop a superior bat warmer.  The goal was to make a product that addresses what matters most to the PLAYER including:  

• It SHOULD heat bats quickly to safe/optimal temperatures
• It SHOULD clip to the fence for quick access/loading of the bat
• It SHOULD fit in a player’s equipment bag
• It SHOULD be compatible with numerous battery options
